On September 6, the lawn of the Lisbon Museum – Palácio Pimenta will host Jazz Picnic. In the company of singer Maria Anadon and German pianist Hans Fuecker, the public is invited to bring their own picnic while savoring a range of songs devoted to the world of gastronomy, composed by George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Joni Mitchell, among others.
The garden of the Lisbon Museum will be filled with classics such as Frim Fram Sauce, Black coffee, A case of you, Recipe for love, Let’s call the whole thing off, The days of wine and roses and The lady is a tramp. An, since 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of Cole Porter’s visit to Portugal, there will also be opportunities to dance to hits such as Night and day, Begin the beguine, Let’s do it and I’ve got you under my skin.
