Swan Lake is one of the most famous ballets in the world and tells the story of an impossible love between Prince Siegfried and Odette, a young woman transformed into a swan by a sorcerer. This masterpiece highlights a very pertinent theme, the duality between good and evil, represented by the purity of the white swan, Odette, and the duplicity of Odile, black swan and daughter of the sorcerer.
The dancers of the Kiev Ballet are distinguished by the care and delicacy of traditions and by maintaining the essence of classical ballet, thus staging this impossible love story through very technical and virtuoso movements. Marius Petipa is the choreographer for this show, which expresses emotions through the music of Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
