Makaya McCraven is one of the most innovative names in contemporary jazz, known for crossing boundaries between genres and transforming live recordings into sophisticated compositions. Drummer, composer and producer, he combines jazz, hip-hop and global folk into a unique and visionary musical language. Raised in a multicultural environment between the USA and Europe, he grew up surrounded by jazz musicians and influences from oral traditions.
