Teresa Cortez

This retrospective exhibition offers a comprehensive view of Teresa Cortez’s 45-year-long artistic career. The artist, who started her practical learning in ceramics in the mid-1970s, in a factory environment, under the guidance of master Querubim Lapa, ventured into watercolor and drawing in the 1990s. Um Mundo Lúdico à Espreita showcases the artist’s creative freedom and her intimacy with folk culture, oral culture stories, fabled narratives, and visual fairy tales.
