Lisbon’s Futures
City and Future
At a time when many people question the city’s present, this exhibition challenges creative minds and the public to think about its future. The reflections of the invited essayists and of all the citizens who submitted their ideas are joined by the perspectives of the exhibition’s commissioners, Sofia Guedes Vaz, João Seixas and Manuel Graça Dias. Throughout ten exhibition rooms featuring pictures, videos, photos, technological objects, documents and works of art, Lisbon’s Futures raises several questions and suggests different combinations of three elements: Lisbon, City, and Future. The idea is to imagine what the city may become by questioning and engaging visitors themselves.
