À flor da pele

Throughout the month of August, Cinemateca’s sessions are spread out under the motto of a single programme, named À Flor da Pele.

From the Lumière brothers to Jonathan Glazer, the programme is a dive into the history of cinema, encompassing fiction, documentary, anime, experimental cinema and video essays, exploring the work of renowned authors, or those yet to be (re)discovered, in a gesture of devotion to the largest organ of the human body – the skin.

As usual in August, there will be only two daily sessions at Cinemateca, with the last screenings taking place on the Cinemateca’s Esplanade.
