Cinalfama – Lisbon International Film Festival (LIFF25) presents a programme featuring award-winning films and world-premieres. Screenings take place at Fado Museum (during the day) and at Escadinhas de São Miguel (at night).
Some of the programme highlights: Sensible Soccers: Manoel (2024), by David Matias and Vasco Gil, a documentary about the creative process of the album Manoel (2021), a disc featuring compositions inspired by Douro, Faina Fluvial (1931), and O Pintor e a Cidade (1956), by Manoel de Oliveira; Un Projet Fou (2020), by Jean Marc Bourillon, an adventure between patients at a therapeutic center who create a film using the few resources they have at their disposal; Masmelos (2019), by Duván Duque Vargas, which follows Melanie’s experiences as her father faces corruption charges; and Poupées de Chair (2022), by Florence Rochat, a short film that captures the behind-the-scenes of the automotive industry and exposes abuses against women in accessing this job market.
