World New Music Days
Thirst for Change
In the year of its 40th anniversary, Miso Music Portugal is organising ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music) World New Music Days, one of the biggest and most unique annual music festivals of our time, which will take place between May 31 and June 7. Despite being a centenary event, it is being held in Portugal for the first time. The festival assumes the subtitle Thirst for Change, which evokes the dilemma faced by our “blue planet”.
Over these days, various institutions and artists – including Portuguese and international musicians and composers – will come together to promote musical creation and artistic exchange. World New Music Days 2025 promises to be a celebration of musical innovation and a platform for reflecting on the transformative role of music in times of change. Full program here.
