Uirapuru

Uirapuru, by Marcelo Evelin, is inspired by the entities that inhabit the forests of Brazil and the imagery of the Brazilian woods. The forest as cosmology, wild and enchanted, a place of return to a deep and unknown interior, and in particular the Uirapuru, the singer of the forest, which means “man transformed into a bird”. And it is the Uirapuru, which in this creation serves as the mediation of a body that evokes sounds, movements and constitutes another sense of humanity, that allows a landscape of bodies that launch themselves into a condition between landing and taking flight, performing life, as movement and gesture and, above all, as sonority and vibratility.
