Post-Museum: ‘A’ of Absence

This is a kaleidoscopic exhibition that explores how artists portray singular and collective experiences of cultural identity, using multiple forms of representation and various geographical, generational and conceptual contexts, both close and more distant.
Taking certain aesthetic and historical references as a starting point, the idea is to understand how artists have reflected on the political and social burden of identity in contemporary society, in an effort to counter the effects of both contemporary nationalisms and abstract universalist discourse.
