Festival Iminente

Festival Iminente is back, this time in Lisbon. The event, which during its first two editions took place in Oeiras, now moves to the capital, to the Panorâmico de Monsanto, an iconic landmark of the city. Created in 2016, curated by Vhils and Underdogs, the festival brings together new music and new Portuguese art in an experience of intense collective intimacy, translating the creative multicultural atmosphere that flourishes in Lisbon and in the country.

The space chosen for the 2018 edition of the Imminent festival – the Panorâmico de Monsanto – reopened as a viewpoint in the last months of 2017, after years of neglect. Now, without the signs of degradation to which it had been subjected, cleaner and more secure, it is possible to fully enjoy the beautiful building and its magnificent location through a varied program of concerts and exhibitions.

In total, the Festival lasts three days and is filled with artistic expression and artistic provocation done by a movement without frontiers or aesthetic barriers that spreads throughout the world, a concept of an uncomplicated and modern lusophony. To Vhils, Festival Iminente incorporates the spirit of creativity, resistance and cooperation with which this alternative community attempts to counteract the growing tide of intolerance and sectarianism sweeping Europe and the world.
