Camané

Camané returns to CCB to showcase his latest album, Camané canta Marceneiro (2017), a tribute to one of his greatest Fado idols, Alfredo Marceneiro. The album was produced and orchestrated by José Mário Branco. Camané is the most unanimously praised singer in the Fado scene nowadays. Camané exudes authenticity and easily transcends himself: tears come out of his throat when he speaks of sadness, and a cloud of resentment forms when he speaks of jealousy. The singer has achieved a rare standing among Portuguese musicians: regular album releases, domestic and international tours, frequent awards, consensual recognition both within and without the artistic community as one the greatest names in the history of Fado, and a successful international career.
