Museu Arpad Szenes-Vieira da Silva
The Arpad Szenes – Vieira da Silva Foundation celebrates 2020 with the first exhibition opening dedicated to one of the eponymous artists. Arpad Szenes. The exhibition brings together 60 works from the museum collection, bringing to the fore some of the artists’ most important series from the 1930s to the 1980s.
Although very different, Arpad Szenes and Vieira da Silva’s works are inseparable, as they were fed by the same sources, in daily contact, throughout 55 years of common life. Arpad Szenes was Vieira da Silva’s learned and attentive teacher and chose to remain in the background.
