Os Sapatos Pediram Para Não Andar

At the heart of this exhibition lies the home as a conceptual threshold: a site where intimacy and estrangement coexist, and where familiarity becomes subtly destabilized. Rather than treating domestic space as a fixed or comforting backdrop, the participating artists explore its latent ambiguities, transforming it into a terrain where materiality, memory, and function are continually renegotiated.

Developed by Sara Sepúlveda and Luís Magina, the curatorial proposal seeks to dismantle the hierarchical distinction between the art object and the utilitarian object, revealing the porous boundaries that shape our everyday encounters with things. Through this gesture, the exhibition brings the banal and the artistic into dialogue, making visible the shifting ontologies of the objects that populate our lives.
