Ressacs
Agnès Limbos / Cie Gare Centrale
A couple in crisis, adrift on a small boat in the open sea. Trapped in a storm, they have lost everything: their house, “a beautiful house in a residential area,” their fancy car bought on credit, their French garden “with so marvelous roses,” whiskey at 6 pm. The bank took everything. They think only Jesus can come to their aid and bring them their “color TV.” They call for his help with an emotional gospel song and end up stranded on an island, where natural resources are not exploited by local inhabitants.
At night, in their dreams, Columbo’s caravels sail by to the music of great maritime conquests…
A table and several objects used in a creative, surprising manner. With a few intoxicating trumpet chords, a good dose of humor and ferocious irony, we go on a trip with this peculiar couple on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
