Poster Mostra

The creative and innovative spirit of Poster returns to Marvila for its 9th edition and brings with it a series of works of art in poster format spread across the streets of this industrialized area, making it emergent and artistic.

This open-air public gallery takes place between June 1 and September 1, offering three months of free artistic immersion. The art will be distributed across several streets in Marvila, starting at Rua do Açúcar and continuing along Rua Sandeman (Rua Capitão Leitão), Largo do Poço do Bispo and ending at Rua Amorim.

This edition will feature the participation of artists such as: David Carson, graphic designer and art director; Kid Richards, photographer and musician; Kampus, street artist and creator of the recognisable Sausage character, who acts as a joyful, humorous visual moniker commenting on societal force-feeding and the conditioning into conformity sold as a novelty; Masanori Ushiki, Japanese illustrator, who focus on original characters.

Poster is a public art and word exhibition which takes place on the street. Words, photography, illustration and mixed media take on the poster format as their medium.
