Welcome to the magic of Chinese puppet theater.
In China, the puppet has been animated from time immemorial, and stick, wires, shades or glove shows, or even masked dances bring the history of China to life with its heroes, beauties, demons and ordinary people. This tradition, which dates back 2000 years with the masks and puppets to be used in religious rituals, has just later turned into theater shows. Classified as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity, the Chinese shadow puppet theater will have been one of the earliest puppet demonstrations, but the art quickly spread to other forms of manipulation.
