Gulbenkian hosts the 40th edition of Jazz in August, the festival that showcases the other side of jazz. In this edition, the lineup brings together the most striking, challenging and less conventional musical choices in jazz in the present time.
The programme includes performances by James Brandon Lewis, Darius Jones’ project or Fire! Orchestra. From August 1 to 11, there will be 17 concerts spread across the Open-Air Amphitheatre, the Grand Auditorium and Auditorium 2 (see ‘Related events’ below).
