Is the Earth still whole?
This is the question posed by artist Cristina Ataíde. The artist surrenders to forms through a profound awareness of time and space, embracing their rhythms. In this show, which features several works created on purpose for the exhibition space, the artist illustrates the transformation she has developed in the context of an attentive and careful observation of the rawest of nature.
Cristina Ataíde has managed to define her own style and language as an inner need, generating forms that move between the topological and the psychological, through the unavoidable appreciation of the landscape.
In Sala dos Fornos at MNAC, the artist presents us with around 40 works of drawing, sculpture and installation that “envelop” the visitor, creating strong relationships with each other and allowing connections between the material and the spiritual, especially through her unquestionable image brand, the unmistakable red tone.
Tuesday to Friday: 10 am to 1 pm - 2 pm to 6 pm.
Weekends and holidays: 10 am to 2 pm - 3 to 6 pm.
