Cosima von Bonin

Boy at work is the first solo exhibition in Portugal by one of the most recognized and influential German artists today. Often using fabric, wood, music or film, as well as found objects, Cosima von Bonin uses installation and conceptual sculpture to question social relations, identity and appropriation. For this exhibition, the artist developed a set of new works produced as part of her residency in the Maumaus International Residency Programme, including paintings with textile materials she acquired in Lisbon and a sculpture inspired by a social moment she experienced in the city.
