Chronicles of an unknown Lisbon

The exhibition Crónicas de uma Lisboa desconhecida (Chronicles of an Unknown Lisbon) features almost a hundred works held in reserve by the Museum of Lisbon, offering a journey through Lisbon’s lesser-known spaces, times and inhabitants.
Pieces of exceptional quality, some never before shown and others restored to be exhibited, reveal a less obvious Lisbon. The route starts in Terreiro do Paço, where we remember the aeronautical feat performed by an Italian captain in 1794, and ends nearby, in Campo das Cebolas, in the company of Amália Rodrigues. Among other places and episodes, it passes through the capital’s first illegal neighbourhood and the first Feira Popular funfair.
