Bela Silva

This exhibition is a result of the artist’s wish to revamp her studio in Lisbon. This would allow her to split her time between Lisbon and Brussels, where she has been based for the past eight years. For this reason, she was looking for a place where she could store, during the renovation period, all the pieces and drawings which she kept over the years. From this need arose the idea of recreating the atmosphere of her studio in a gallery, offering Lisboners unprecedented access to the works at her ‘Atelier’.

This exhibition showcases the various aspects of Bela Silva’s oeuvre: in addition to her trademark ceramic pieces, it features a rare set of large and small drawings created between 1995 and 2020.
