A history of cinema according to J-LG

Nimas cinema shows the cycle Uma história do cinema segundo (Histoire du cinéma according to) J-LG, which presents works that Jean-Luc Godard chose as landmarks in the history of cinema. There are 27 films + 1, “Because Tales of Ugetsu by Mizoguchi, shown this month in a special session, is the most beautiful of films.”

Godard began, like his compagnons de route of the Nouvelle Vague, with film critic, which he carried out over the years, especially in the Cahiers du Cinéma, in it’s golden age. Godard would end up making not only the series Histoire(s) du Cinéma (1988-98), but he also left in his writings and interviews many clues for Uma história do cinema segundo J-LG.
