Sakina Abdou Trio

Saxophonist Sakina Abdou presents her latest album, Hammer, Roll and Leaf, released last year by Relative Pitch, accompanied by pianist Marta Warelis, who has previously performed at TBA in a duo with Sofia Borges, and percussionist Toma Gouband, known for his work with Evan Parker and bringing his broad percussive palette expanded by stones and branches. With an approach that borders on chamber music, the trio traverses a sonic landscape that spans jazz, minimalism, classical music, and noise.
