Wolf Manhattan

A creation of the restless musician, composer, and producer João Vieira who, after leaving his mark on the Portuguese music scene with projects such as X-Wife, Club Kitten parties, and the electronic alter-ego White Haus, now returns transfigured as the character Wolf Manhattan.

Bursting from a creative urgency amidst the pandemic, João Vieira drew upon lo-fi references to craft this new folk-punk-garage persona. Adam Green and his Moldy Peaches, Jonathan Richman without the Modern Lovers, the Velvet Underground, and the towering figure that is Daniel Johnston were his companions on this journey to write this story and create a sound that presents itself as an antidote to neutralize the complexities of everyday life.
