Verão Clássico

Founded in 2015, the Festival & Academy Verão Clássico annually presents in Lisbon a program of concerts and masterclasses of international excellence, with the participation of hundreds of musicians from around the world. Centro Cultural de Belém and Museu Nacional dos Coches will host the 11th edition of Verão Clássico with unmissable concerts from July 23 to August 2, featuring iconic works from the classical repertoire spanning the 18th to the 21st centuries.

Among the internationally renowned artists featured in this year programme are cellists Gary Hoffman and Christian Poltéra, tenor Werner Güra, soprano Anna Samuil, pianist Milana Chernyavska, clarinetist Annelien Van Wauwe, violists Gérard Caussé and Lars Anders Tomter, violinists Lena Neudauer, Eszter Haffner, and Stephan Picard, double bassist Janne Saksala, and the festival’s artistic director, pianist Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro. The programme also includes the participation of dozens of talented young musicians from over twenty countries, many of whom are award winners in national and international competitions.
