Journeys between London and Lisbon on Tiles
In this exhibition, Galeria Ratton presents unique and original tile works painted by Paula Rego and Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos, putting into dialogue the tile work of the artists who lived and made their artistic careers between London and Lisbon.
Journeys between London and Lisbon on Tiles by Paula Rego and Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos will present to the public, for the first time, a set of original 14x14cm tiles painted by Paula Rego and the two original panels executed by Paula Rego in 1996, when she and the Gallery made Banco do Fogo for Fronteira Palace in Lisbon.
From Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos there is a special selection of original individual tiles and panels that have not been presented to the public for a long time.
