Grigory Sokolov

Adjectives are in short supply for any description of one of the greatest pianists of all time. For more than a decade, Grigory Sokolov has been present at each new Gulbenkian Music season, prolonging an intense relationship with the public who flock to the Grand Auditorium every year to be enchanted by the pianist’s overflowing musicality. Sokolov sets a single programme each season, projecting his gaze as deeply as possible onto each piece.
