Jozef van Wissem is a Dutch musician and composer who specializes in one instrument in particular: the lute, which he studied in the 90s with American teacher and pedagogue Patrick O’Brien. The musician already has more than 20 albums released, as well as almost the same collaborations with other musicians on many other records. 10 years ago he won the award for best soundtrack for Jim Jarmusch’s film Only Lovers Left Alive in Cannes. He returns to Portugal in January 2024 to showcase the album The Night Dwells in the Day. Portugal will be the first country where this new album will be played live.
