Melting Into One Another ho Hot Chaud it Heating Dip
After a one-year hiatus, Kunsthalle Lissabon opens its doors again, now for Laure Prouvost’s first solo show entitled Melting Into One Another ho Hot Chaud it Heating Dip. This exhibition completely transforms the gallery’s underground exhibition space. The room is filled with curtains, tentacular elements, and cuttlefish ink which gives life to an immersive installation where fiction intersects with reality. A film projected directly on the aquatic floor of the exhibition space stands as the central element around which the complex installation is structured. The French artist has been creating surreal environments through the use of video, sound, installation and performance, causing dreams and reality to merge through the use of natural elements, as well as humor and irony. In this exhibition, continuing with the surrealist imagery characteristic of her style, Laure Prouvost constantly plays with ancestral memories and multi-sensory experiences of the visitors.
Thursday to Saturday, from 3pm to 7pm
