São Luiz Theatre is hosting Em Nome da Terra, the closing concert of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event, organised by the Polish Embassy in Lisbon, combines live music with animated images in a tribute to Polish culture. The soundtrack, composed by Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski, was created for the film In the Name of the Earth, a visually innovative adaptation of the novel The Peasants by Władysław Reymont. The Rebel Babel Film Orchestra performs live music, fusing contemporary elements with folk instruments. The concert celebrates European identity and artistic innovation, and is co-funded by the Polish National Foundation and supported by LOT Polish Airlines, which recently inaugurated a direct link between Warsaw and Lisbon.
Free admission, subject to room capacity. Tickets available at the Theatre Box Office on the same day, from 1h before the show (maximum 2 tickets per person).
